Hi, I'm Craig Wilson
I have dedicated over 25 years to the pursuit of excellence in the art of luthierie, through formal schooling, traditional apprenticeship, and focused attention to the craft. I have chosen luthierie not just as a career, but as a means of self-realization. Each instrument gives me an opportunity to again bring my best to the bench; to slow down and execute each phase as though it were the most important. A succesful instrument is the sum of all its parts, so only the finest materials are used throughout. It brings me great satisfaction to know that I am creating instruments that will be around long after I am gone.
My work is heavily influenced by historical models. I have been fortunate enough to have restored many fine examples, and along the way I have learned what works and what does not. I only build with the finest air-dried tonewoods using traditional techniques. If you would like to learn more please contact me for a consultation.
